Story Development

At the moment I am wring a story for a new short film that is thought to be released in 2015.

Shadow
Back Shot Daniel (Shadow) walking.
The film opens with Daniel (Shadow) heading to a location (Fiddien) because he is on a mission. On his way to the location he has flashback of his past. When he arrives next to a small cottage he tries to sneak in from the front door. When he enters he finds no one. When he enters and he faces a wall we see Elton (Demon) sitting on chair behind him but when Daniel (shadow) turns around Elton (demon) isn’t there. When Daniel (Shadow) turns facing the wall again he finds Elton (demon) in front of him and he gets shocked and when he draws his blade Elton (demon) disappears.

While Elton is not being seen he starts to speak to Daniel (Shadow) about his past and what he has done. He asks him if he wants to work for him bur he refuses. After a small conversation between them Elton (Demon) shows up and tells Daniel (Shadow) that he will pay for what he did and he vanishes. Daniel (Shadow) tells him that if he touches his wife he promises he will find him and kill him. Daniel (Shadow) is locked inside and he can’t do anything to save his wife before Elton (Demon) kills her. Daniel tries to go out and after some time he hears Elton (Demon) voice and his wife screaming and then Daniel (Shadow) tells Elton (Demon) he will kill him and shouts.

We see him train with blades and if possible a punching bag.  While he is training he has flash backs of him self with hjis wife before she was killed. He goes ona table and finds her necklace and gets even more mad.

Research on the Malta film Commission

Filming in Malta

The Government of Malta has recently upgraded the cash rebates for filmmakers making the financial guidelines more attractive to the film industry. Productions which satisfy a cultural test can benefit from a rebate up to 25% of eligible expenditure with an additional 2% if the production features Malta culturally. Qualifying productions are required to present a provisional application to the Malta Film Commission, including a detailed projection of the Malta budget for the production. The rebate is given once filming is complete and on receipt of the audit report and upon final review by the Commissioner, the cash rebate is forwarded to the qualifying production no later than five months from the date of receipt of the presented production expenditure in Malta.
Feature film, Television film or Television Series or Mini-Series, Animation, Creative documentary, Transmedia and Crossmedia productions are all eligible for the incentives, provided that they are all or partially produced in Malta.
Qualifying expenditure incurred during production in Malta on EU services is eligible for a cash rebate, including the following items:
EU below-the-line labour, accommodation, transportation equipment and hire, location fees, catering services, per diems, leasing of offices, computer equipment, props, property, animals, equipment, vehicles, and boats. Other qualifying expenditure includes wardrobe rentals, courtesy payments, telecommunications, craft service, laundry and cleaning services and professional services.
