Story Development
At the moment I am wring a story for a new short film that is thought to be released in 2015.
Shadow
Back Shot Daniel (Shadow) walking.
The film opens with Daniel (Shadow) heading to a location
(Fiddien) because he is on a mission. On his way to the location he has
flashback of his past. When he arrives next to a small cottage he tries to
sneak in from the front door. When he enters he finds no one. When he enters
and he faces a wall we see Elton (Demon) sitting on chair behind him but when Daniel
(shadow) turns around Elton (demon) isn’t there. When Daniel (Shadow) turns
facing the wall again he finds Elton (demon) in front of him and he gets
shocked and when he draws his blade Elton (demon) disappears.
While Elton is not being seen he starts to speak to Daniel
(Shadow) about his past and what he has done. He asks him if he wants to work
for him bur he refuses. After a small conversation between them Elton (Demon)
shows up and tells Daniel (Shadow) that he will pay for what he did and he
vanishes. Daniel (Shadow) tells him that if he touches his wife he promises he
will find him and kill him. Daniel (Shadow) is locked inside and he can’t do
anything to save his wife before Elton (Demon) kills her. Daniel tries to go
out and after some time he hears Elton (Demon) voice and his wife screaming and
then Daniel (Shadow) tells Elton (Demon) he will kill him and shouts.

self with hjis wife before she was killed. He goes ona table and finds her
necklace and gets even more mad.

Research on the Malta film Commission
Filming in Malta
The Government of Malta has recently upgraded the cash rebates for filmmakers making the financial guidelines more attractive to the film industry. Productions which satisfy a cultural test can benefit from a rebate up to 25% of eligible expenditure with an additional 2% if the production features Malta culturally. Qualifying productions are required to present a provisional application to the Malta Film Commission, including a detailed projection of the Malta budget for the production. The rebate is given once filming is complete and on receipt of the audit report and upon final review by the Commissioner, the cash rebate is forwarded to the qualifying production no later than five months from the date of receipt of the presented production expenditure in Malta.
Feature film, Television film or Television Series or Mini-Series, Animation, Creative documentary, Transmedia and Crossmedia productions are all eligible for the incentives, provided that they are all or partially produced in Malta.
Qualifying expenditure incurred during production in Malta on EU services is eligible for a cash rebate, including the following items:
EU below-the-line labour, accommodation, transportation equipment and hire, location fees, catering services, per diems, leasing of offices, computer equipment, props, property, animals, equipment, vehicles, and boats. Other qualifying expenditure includes wardrobe rentals, courtesy payments, telecommunications, craft service, laundry and cleaning services and professional services.

DVD Covers

For our final Graphic Design assignment we had to create our own DVD Cover. Though brainstorming I designed my own DVD case and I an quite satisfied with my final result.
We also had to create CD print for our Trailer. I have created two because I had two ideas and designed them both. I still have to choose which one I will use as my final CD print.

Parkour Research
Parkour :
While doing research about parkour, I was reading an online
article advising traceurs to ignore the
fancy moves and have fun and this led me to an even more detailed research.
Parkour is not a sport that you can earn money with, the one’s practising this
sport love doing it because movement is all they can think of.
Films, documentaries and advertisements featuring these
practitioners show that training parkour mainly consists of general landing
techniques, quadrupedal movements, climbing, running and balancing.
‘The main issue is to go from point A to point B by getting
over obstacles with speed and efficiency together with your own imagination.’
(Marco Gomes)
Although parkour is fun its main purpose is discipline to
all participants but this connotates accidents because of the environment and
if not wearing suitable equipment and clothing. Whatever one wears should
always be lightweight and flexible. The reason being not to add any extra
weight and make sure that clothes are not too tight. Research shows that gloves
and shoes can add extra grip when climbing. With regards to danger and
accidents traceurs consider this as part of life risks. For them life is a
permanent risk and they consider parkour as dangerous as crossing the road and
getting hit by a car. ‘Free runners hurt in roof top shooting’ (West Sussex
Country Times – August 2013)
For David Belle, the founder of parkour, parkour is a form
of martial arts because in it you face your obstacles and you overcome them by
thinking in advance. Researching online parkour magazines I realized that there
are international parkour teams such as Storror and some popular personalities
like Ryan Doyle and Toby Segar. I found out that even competitions like The Red
Bull Art of Motion are held up in various countries like Greece and each event
is about the taking part more than winning.
Members of society tend to be shocked when seeing someone
doing parkour because they consider it useless and dangerous, but in fact it is
not. It is mainly about training to know what to do when facing real life
scenarios. People earn to trust themselves, be courageous and careful.
Going into further detail I found that here in Malta there
are teenagers practising this sport in local parks. In Januray 2014 the Mosta
Council decided to build a Parkour Park located at Blata L-Gholja in Mosta to
prevent any injuries in streets and local disturbances.
In other countries those effected by parkour are mainly
students which benefit from it both physically and mentally. They have school
programmes in which they practise this sport during school hours. Their coaches
are fully qualified and experienced teachers holding also First-aid training.
The Maltese society does not consider this as such and because of this heads of
school ban parkour training during school hours.

Comenius - France Trip
I was chosen to go to France to film and take photos of what we have seen and places we have been.
We visited very interesting places at Lens like museums and coal mountains.
I also filmed the Art students doing some sketches and painting the graffiti.
